Q.1. What is the silver used in your jewellery?
A.1. All our jewellery is crafted in solid silver. An imported Italian alloy is mixed with pure silver to increase the strength of the jewellery and to give it anti tarnish properties. The resultant silver is of 92.5% purity, more commonly known as 925 Sterling Silver. A purity of 925 corresponds to 22K when compared to gold.
Q.2. Does the Silver or Plating, contain harmful and allergic materials such as Lead/ Nickel etc.?
A.2. We take special care of the materials we use in the making of our jewellery. For us a piece of jewellery should be made in a way such that it comfortably sits on your skin without causing any discomfort to you. We take special care at the time of procurement and guarantee that known harmful materials/ metals such as lead/ nickel etc., DO NOT exist even in the smallest traces in our silver or plating.
Q.3. Is your jewellery genuinely hallmarked?
A.3. We are registered with BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards, Govt. of India body). Each piece of our jewellery goes to a BIS assaying centre for getting tested for its purity. Only after being tested for the purity, is a hallmark of purity applied by the BIS assaying centre as a proof of our quality.
Q.4. What finish do you offer for your jewellery?
A.4. We craft our jewellery in 925 Sterling Silver in various polishes as per the charisma of the design. Some are made in antique finish so some are crafted to look like bright matt silver. Most of the Silver finish is given a High Polish Rhodium touch, so that it gives a Platinum like look.
We also offer a High Polish 22K Gold finish and Rose Gold finish. This is a 1 micron actual gold film coated on top of our silver jewellery.
Q.5. Can I request for a different plating?

Q.6. Is it safe to wear your jewellery for prolonged times? Will it turn my skin green or cause any allergies?
A.6. Astoraa jewellery and accessories are completely hypoallergic, meaning they would cause no allergies at all, so you can enjoy your jewellery romancing with your skin for any amounts of time you may feel like. As answered in FAQ 2, we take complete guarantee of the quality of our offering.
Astoraa jewellery will not turn you into a sick green, however it will definitely turn you into a shade of envious pink, adding timeless charisma to your look.
Q.7. Will my jewellery tarnish?
A.7. Pure silver oxidises over a period of time and with continuous wear. This property of silver is called tarnish, and it is not a manufacturing defect.
It is very simple and easy to restore the brilliance of your silver jewellery, which you can do your self from the comfort of your home. Just refer to our Jewellery Care recommendations under Helpful Links, and you can restore the brilliance of your jewellery in a simple, easy and inexpensive manner.
You DO NOT need to worry too much about your Astoraa jewellery and accessories. We do not claim that our jewellery will never tarnish, but we are proud of the processes applied to our jewellery and accessories, and stand guarantee to the fact that we have been able to achieve a significant delay in the natural oxidation process of our silver, which will keep your jewellery and accessories shining and brilliant for years to come.
Q.8. Is Astoraa jewellery imitation jewellery? How is Astoraa jewellery different from other imitation jewellery?
A.8. At Astoraa, all our jewellery is crafted in solid silver. An imported Italian alloy is mixed with pure silver to increase the strength of the jewellery and to give it anti tarnish properties. The resultant silver is of 92.5% purity, more commonly known as 925 Sterling Silver. A purity of 925 corresponds to 22K when compared to gold.
Along with Gold & Platinum, Silver is also valued as a Precious & Noble metal. Jewellery or accessories crafted in Silver give the same finesse, grandeur and the delicate brilliance that the Gold and Platinum jewellery offer, but, without burning a whole in your pocket.
Unlike imitation jewellery, we DO NOT use cheap base metal alloys, usually made up of brass & copper. Imitation jewellery looks unreal in the first look itself and needs replacement or is useless after a few wears. You can continue wearing your Astoraa jewellery for years to come and treasure your favourite jewellery by handing them over to your next generation as a insignia of your affection.
Q.9. What are Astoraa™ Stones?
A.9. Astoraa Stones are specially lab created for our jewellery and accessories. They bear the properties of CZ stones and are hand faceted to replicate the brilliance and lustre of real mined diamonds and natural colour stones. They bear no intrusions and have no negative impact socially or ecologically.
Q.10. How long will it take for me to receive my order in India?
A.10. Most of our jewellery is hand made with a lot of quality checks and processes involved. We completely understand the expectations of our esteemed customers when it comes to the brilliance and quality of their favorite jewellery, and hence we request to afford us 8 to 10 days to dispatch the jewellery/ accessory. Depending on your geographical location, it may take 2 to 6 days for our logistic partner to reach your doorstep. You will be able to track the status of your order via a logistic link provided to you as soon as your shipment is booked.
Q.11. How long will it take for me to receive my order Worldwide except India?
A.11. Most of our jewellery is hand made with a lot of quality checks and processes involved. We completely understand the expectations of our esteemed customers when it comes to the brilliance and quality of their favorite jewellery, and hence we request to afford us 8 to 10 days to dispatch the jewellery/ accessory. Depending on your country and geographical location, it may take Approx 14 to 20 days for our logistic partner to reach your doorstep. You will be able to track the status of your order via a logistic link provided to you as soon as your shipment is booked.
Q.12. Do you charge for shipping?
A.12. Nationwide shipping, within India is offered absolutely free of charge. Charges are applicable for international shipping and are different depending on the country of the customer. We request you to refer to our shipping policy for further details.
Q.13. What are COD charges?
A.13. COD charges are levied by the logistic partner for Cash On Delivery orders. These charges are not levied by us and hence are charged separately.
